With 25 years of experience in sales and marketing specializing in the distribution of broadcast television stations, broadcast television networks, cable television networks, VOD and broadband services, Tim Krass now uses his unique industry expertise and vision in his own consulting firm, Tim Krass Consulting.
As founder of Los Angeles-based Tim Krass Consulting, Krass is devoted to helping companies of all sizes to exceed their distribution goals as well as to fine-tune their leadership style in order to maximize asset value, in today’s multi-platform environment. Prior to founding Tim Krass Consulting, Krass served as Executive Vice President, Affiliate Relations at Univision Television Group, where he managed Univision’s and Telefutura’s broadcast affiliate relationships and negotiated retransmission consent and must-carry distribution agreements with the largest cable, satellite and telco distributors. In addition, Krass also managed affiliate relations within the cable, satellite and telco companies.

Earlier, Krass served as Senior Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Marketing at Intertainer, Inc., an online broadband service where he recruited and developed the affiliate team to distribute Intertainer’s service that featured VOD, interactive advertising and e-commerce.

Krass also served as Senior Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Marketing at FOX/Liberty Networks, where he was responsible for the affiliate sales and marketing departments for the distribution of 17 FOX cable networks. He was also Senior Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Marketing for FOX Sports Net, where he was responsible for the affiliate sales and marketing departments, established FOX Sports Net as a national network, launched FOX Sports World (now FOX Soccer Channel) and FOX Sports Detroit.

Krass also launched, marketed and distributed FSN West and FSN-Prime Ticket to six top cable television operators and 2.5 million households when he served as Marketing Manager and later Vice President, Affiliate Relations at Prime Ticket Network, the Los Angeles-based regional sports network.

Krass began his media career with Cox Cable in 1981 working in Sales & Marketing management for three cable systems in four years as a trouble-shooter.

Krass holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Sports Management from The Ohio State University. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Cable Association and the Southern California Cable Marketing Council. He also serves on the Board of Advisers for GEMA, the Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance, which is comprised of Georgetown University alumni, students and parents who are associated with the entertainment and media industries. In addition, Krass has been the past Chairman of the Annual Magic Johnson Sports Star Award, for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
